Zaid-Al-Zaidy, Managing Director, Saint London
Zaid joined Unilever as a graduate marketing trainee where he went on to become Lynx Global Innovations Manager. After 8yrs he left for the creative Shoreditch shores of Mother where he graduated into the role of Strategy Director across Boots & a portfolio of Coca-Cola brands. In 2008, Zaid joined RKCR/Y&R as Head of International Planning and has subsequently been promoted to Managing Partner of their digital creative agency, Saint. Saint has an enviable client list that includes Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Media, the Home Office, the BBC and the V&A. Zaid lives in Battersea with his wife, Kate, and their two sons, Ollie & Alex.
Simon Bassett, Managing Director, EMR
Simon Bassett is the Managing Director of EMR. He has been with the company for ten years and has a background in recruiting senior marketing and communication professionals across a range of markets. Simon now leads the UK business whilst overseeing the development of EMR’s international capabilities as EMR aspires to become the global leader in marketing recruitment.
Tim Britton, Chief Executive, YouGov
Tim Britton is Chief Executive, UK of YouGov. Tim has almost 20 years' experience working in the marketing and research industry. Having started his career in market research, he spent a few years in direct marketing, before moving back into research. Much of his research experience has been in assessing the effectiveness of marketing communications.
Rita Clifton, Chairman, Interbrand UK
After graduating from Cambridge, Rita worked at Saatchi & Saatchi for 12 years, becoming Vice Chairman and Executive Planning Director in 1995. In 1997 she joined Interbrand as Chief Executive in London, becoming Chairman in 2002. Rita is currently a non-executive director of DSG International plc (formerly Dixons Stores Group plc), Chair of Populus, the opinion pollster to The Times, President of the Market Research Society and is on the Assurance and Advisory Board for BP’s carbon-offset programme ‘targetneutral’. She is Visiting Professor at Henley Business School and a trustee of WWF. Previously Rita has been a member of the Government’s Sustainable Development Commission. An established speaker, Rita’s books include ‘The Future of Brands’ and ‘Brands and Branding’.
Sally Cowdry, Marketing Director, O2
Sally is responsible for setting the marketing agenda and overseeing O2’s brand strategy in the UK. Sally has commercial profit and loss accountability for the Consumer and Business markets, as well as responsibility for driving the development, management and marketing of O2’s product portfolio, which includes O2 Broadband. Under Sally’s leadership O2 has secured sponsorships such as The O2 and O2 Academy venues, which have helped O2 to become one of the most successful and trusted consumer brands in the UK.

Roisin Donnelly, Corporate Marketing Director, Proctor & Gamble UK
Roisin Donnelly is Corporate Marketing Director and Head of Marketing for Procter & Gamble UK and Ireland where she is responsible for marketing on all P&G brands. Roisin is chair of Cosmetic Executive Women, President of the Marketing Society and President Elect and an executive member of WACL. She is on the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Board of Cancer Research UK and on the business committee of Glasgow University. Roisin was born and educated in Glasgow and is married with 3 daughters. She is a Celtic supporter and loves travel and the theatre.
Kerry Glazer, Chief Executive, AAR
Kerry has worked in the communications industry for more than two decades, with stints in account management, new business and consultancy at JWT, WCRS, Kendall Tarrant (now The Talent Business) and AAR. She joined AAR as Commercial Director in 1999, was promoted to Managing Director in 2000 and then to Chief Executive in 2006.
Richard Hudson, Marketing Director, BMW
Richard joined BMW in 2000, initially with the brief to shape the company’s E-commerce and online strategy from CRM through to vehicle sales. From here Richard went on to be responsible for all aspects of CRM, commissioning new call centres, lead management programmes as well as defining prospecting and loyalty retail programmes. Back in 2004, Richard then took over responsibility for all of BMW’s Marketing Communications and was responsible for numerous new model launches, brand campaigns and high profile sponsorships. In 2008, Richard then joined the board of BMW UK when he took over as Marketing Director and works closely with BMW in Munich on all marketing matters from new models, international campaigns and most recently on BMW Group UK’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympics.
David Magliano, Director of Commercial & Marketing, England 2018
David Magliano is Director of Commercial and Marketing at England 2018, the organisation bidding for England to host the 2018 FIFA Football World Cup David’s previous roles include Director of Marketing for London 2012, Sales and Marketing Director of easyJet, and Sales and Marketing Director of Go (of which he was a founder). Before Go, David spent 10 years at Imagination, Ogilvy and HHCL. David is a non-executive Director of Glasses Direct, and a former non-executive director of Dyson. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. David was UK Marketer of the Year in 1999 and 2005, and Global CMO of the Year in 2006. He was awarded an MBE in 2006.
Pete Markey, Marketing Director, MORE TH>N
Pete Markey is MORE TH>N Marketing Director, responsible for brand development, acquisition, customer and digital marketing. Pete was previously Head of Marketing for 2 years. Prior to this, he was Onetel Head of Marketing for 3 years. Pete has also worked at the AA and British Gas in various marketing communications and brand roles. Pete graduated from Southampton Solent University with a BA Hons in Corporate Communication and is a CIM Chartered Marketer. He completed a 2 year MBA at Ashridge Business School in 2009. Pete was awarded the 2009 “Marketer of the year” award by the Marketing Society.
Jill McDonald, Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald's
Jill McDonald joined McDonald’s in 2006 as Chief Marketing Officer UK & Northern Division. Her remit includes Marketing, Product Development, Customer Innovation, Business Strategy & Insight. Jill holds a 1st class Business Studies degree & began her marketing career at Colgate Palmolive as a graduate trainee. She joined British Airways as a Brand Manager in 1990 and held a number of senior marketing positions in the UK and overseas. In June 2008 Jill was voted “Marketer of the Year” by the Marketing Society.
Nicola Mendelsohn, Partner/Chairman, Karmarama
Nicola, Partner and Chairman of Karmarama, was formerly Deputy Chairman of Grey London and on the board at BBH. Nicola’s is also a member of the IPA Council, former Vice President of WACL, Chair of the Corporate Development Board of Women’s Aid, Trustee of The CSV, Director of The Fragrance Foundation and Board Member of CEW.
Clive Mishon, Chairman, Institute of Sales Promotion and Pulse Group
Clive Mishon is a promotions specialist at heart having set up and developed promotional specialists Marketing Drive – an agency which was sold to US agency group True North. Since leaving the agency he built Clive set up Mentor Marketing and Investment which supports businesses in their growth through mentoring and investment (as it says on the tin). The businesses in which he is currently involved include being Chairman of promotions and exhibitions specialist Pulse Group and experiential agency Evoke. He is also a Director of Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw – a business in which Mentor became involved at its inception. However to demonstrate that promotions is at the heart of Clive’s marketing credentials, Clive has been Chairman of the Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) since 2007.
Marc Nohr, Managing Partner, Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw
Marc is a founding partner of integrated agency Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw. He is an honorary life fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing, and regularly contributes to debates on marketing in the media. Marc was named Number 1 in Marketing Direct's Power 100 Agency Players in 2007 and 2008.
Camillo Pane, General Manager, UK Healthcare, Reckitt Benckiser
In January 2010 Camillo Pane was appointed General Manager, RB UK, assuming responsibility for the combined UK Household/Personal Care and Healthcare commercial businesses, currently being integrated into a single business unit. Camillo had previously been General Manager, RB Healthcare UK, with overall responsibility for marketing leading market Healthcare brands since 2007. With RB since 1996, initially in marketing roles, including for household brands in Italy and USA, before moving to Brazil as Regional Marketing Director for Latin America in 2001 and then to Global HQ as Global Category Director For Air Wick in 2003. Prior to Reckitt Benckiser Camillo spent time in Marketing with Kraft Jacob Suchard in Milan. He has a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.
Shuvo Saha, FMCG Industry Leader, Google UK
Shuvo heads up Google’s UK team working with FMCG Companies. He also leads Google’s ‘Brand Marketing in a Digital World’ programme – working with advertisers and agencies on better use of digital from insight to strategy to execution to measurement. He has over 13 years experience in brand management, interactive media and marketing consulting. Shuvo was previously Head of Interactive Marketing at Procter & Gamble UK, working across the whole portfolio of P&G brands and leading the strategy for how internet, interactive TV & mobile were introduced into the marketing mix. Prior to this he worked in P&G brand management, based in Switzerland as Brand Manager, Hugo Boss fragrances for Western Europe. After P&G, Shuvo spent 2 years at Oxford Strategic Marketing, consulting on marketing strategy for Vodafone, BSkyB, Nestle and Marks & Spencer, before joining Google in 2006. He studied Electronic Engineering & Management at Imperial College London.
Tom Seddon, Chief Marketing Officer, Intercontinental Hotel Group
Tom was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) in November 2007. From 2004-2007, Tom was Chief Executive Officer of the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust and was responsible for advertising and promotional support for 25,000 Subway restaurants in over 80 countries worldwide, with a budget well over half a billion dollars a year. From 1994-2004, Tom worked for IHG in the United States in a number of senior roles. He also headed up sales and marketing for the Holiday Inn brand family in the Americas from 1997-2000.
Susanna Simpson, Founder and Managing Director, Limelight Public Relations
Susanna founded Limelight in 2002 and was named PR Week’s Young PR Professional of the year in 2003. Limelight’s work covers both B2B and consumer campaigns. Examples include PR consultancy for Saatchi & Saatchi (both in the UK and the Middle East), positioning the Erotica Show towards a mainstream audience and providing acquisition support on multi-million pound deals. Susanna is now a regular columnist for Marketing Week with the brief to outline the benefits of PR within the marketing mix. Susanna still drives Limelight on a day-to-day basis and also focuses on developing new ideas and services for her clients.
Sonoo Singh, News Editor, Pitch
Sonoo Singh joined Centaur Media in 2000 as a reporter for Marketing Week and has enjoyed a series of different roles on the magazine, including news editor and deputy editor. She left the magazine last year as acting editor and is currently the editor of Pitch.Born and raised in India, Singh began her writing career in her hometown Chandigarh, where she worked largely with national newspapers including The Tribune, The Indian Express and The Hindustan Times.

Cathryn Sleight, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Great Britain & Ireland
Cathryn Sleight has been Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Great Britain since July 2006. Responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of all CCGB brands (Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Dr Pepper, Schweppes, Relentless, Powerade, Oasis, 5Alive & Glaceau Vitaminwater). Cathryn leads the 75 strong brand team, integrated marketing communications and insights team across GB and Ireland. At Coca-Cola Cathryn has led the launch of Coca-Cola Zero, the most successful FMCG brand launch in the past 25 years and expanded the portfolio through the launch of Relentless, Glaceau Vitaminwater and Schweppes Abbey Well.
Ashley Stockwell, Executive Director of Brand, Marketing and Internal Communications. Virgin Media.
Ashley started his career at BA before joining Virgin Atlantic, where he introduced the original UpperClass Clubhouse lounge concept. He then helped establish Virgin Drinks in addition to branding and launching Virgin Cinemas in the UK. After a spell at Eurostar working in the UK, France and Belgium, Ashley joined Virgin Trains and led the rebrand/cultural transformation and design of the new Pendelino rolling stock. Ashley was subsequently asked to manage the Virgin Brand and Marketing globally. A board member of Virgin Enterprises, Ashley then joined Ntl:telewest and led the entire rebrand along with Virgin Mobile and Virgin.net to become Virgin Media in Feb 2007. Ashley currently runs all brand and marketing activities for Virgin Media.

Ash Tailor is the Global Director of Marketing Excellence at GlaxoSmithkline, Consumer Healthcare. With over 15 years experience in marketing and communications Ash has worked in both the public and private sector. He has led strategic communications and brand management functions inside organisations such as Coca-Cola, Warner Brothers and Unilever.
Mark Thompson, Media Director, Royal Mail
Mark Thomson has held a variety of senior positions with Royal Mail Group, covering Sales, Marketing and Customer Services. His responsibilities have ranged from developing international strategic alliances with other postal Businesses; preparing Royal Mail for de-regulation and competition; running Royal Mail’s Stamps & Collectibles business; developing the e-commerce strategies of Royal Mail, Post Office and Parcelforce; and the commercial development of Royal Mail into its current iteration. Mark’s latest challenge, as Royal Mail’s Media Director, is to increase Mail’s share of the UK’s advertising, transactional and trans-promotional markets. Mark is Royal Mail's Alternate on the Camelot Board; and his current non-executive directorships include the International Group of the Borders & Immigration Agency (BIA), where he also sits on the Audit Committee.
Rick Vlemmiks, Marketing Director, British Gas
At British Gas Rick has been responsible for driving the brand into a more emotional space, launching the Planet Home campaign behind the new brand promise ‘Look After Your World with British Gas’. Rick joined British Gas in 2008 from HBOS where he was Marketing Director across a portfolio of brands including Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Sainsbury’s Finance. Prior to this, Rick worked for Mars inc. where he took on a number of Commercial and Marketing roles across Europe, the US and the Far East on both Petcare and Confectionary brands. Rick holds an MBA from London Business School & Columbia Business School in New York.
Nadhim Zahawi, Chief Exectutive Officer and Co-Founder, YouGov
Nadhim started the UK’s best-known market research company in 2000 and has since expanded YouGov internationally, with offices in 13 countries. Previously, Nadhim was European Marketing Director for Smith & Brooks Limited with responsibility for merchandising brands such as Warner Bros, Disney and Barbie. Nadhim was also a Councillor with the London Borough of Wandsworth and a Parliamentary Candidate.
