Welcome to the Effectiveness Awards

This year is a very special one for the Marketing Week Effectiveness Awards. Not only have they reached their 10th year, but they will be commemorating another landmark occasion: the 30th birthday of Marketing Week. As a result, we promise they will be bigger and better than ever before.

For a start we have added new categories. For example, there’s Brand Innovator, which rewards outstanding entrepreneurial activity. And also Rising Star, which will seek out the most promising young talent in the marketing industry. Not only that: we have entirely overhauled the Agency of the Year Award, which will now embrace a much wider range of nominees than before. Then there are the Birthday Honours, which will recognise outstanding achievement in various areas over the past 30 years. And finally a brand new set of categories judged by the ultimate arbiter for all of us: the consumer.

But some things won’t change. As ever we will be tracking every aspect of marketing excellence. That means not only the performance of brands, products and services but the profile of the individuals behind that success.

The 2008 Awards will culminate in an Awards Ceremony and Dinner – a major calendar event attended by numerous industry figures. It will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, at the London Hilton on Park Lane.


THE AWARDS AIMS
To promote the highest standards of achievement within the marketing industry. The Awards categories embrace all the principal elements of the business: brands, new products, services and the people who make the achievement possible.

To win, entrants will have to demonstrate outstanding performance and provide credible evidence of the contribution they have made to corporate profitability.


WHY ENTER
If you want to be noticed, this is the event to be at. If you want to win, these are the trophies to go for. And, if you do win, what you’ll get is a lot more than an expensive trophy.

All right, we can’t guarantee you everlasting fame, but we’re certain you’ll earn the esteem of your peers, the envy of your competitors and the loyalty of your staff. Not to mention the extra business you’ll generate ……
